Fine art prints, the same high standards
The SchaPicShow boutique offers fine art photographs in both limited and open editions. These two types of editions are distinguished by the number of copies and the documentation that accompanies the print. The edition type is specified on each artwork's product page.
Limited editions: a set total number of copies across all formats, numbered prints, and a signed certificate of authenticity sent separately from the print.
Open editions: paper prints, with or without a frame, with no limitation on the number of copies, and no numbering or certificate.
Limited editions
Limited edition artworks are produced in a total number of copies defined for each series, across all formats. Each print is numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, Schakya Sinhara. This certificate is always sent separately from the print. The copy number and the total number of copies are indicated on the certificate, for example: 3/20.
Limited editions are offered on media selected to showcase each work, notably ChromaLuxe aluminum and Alu-Dibond. Certain photographs that hold a special place in the artist’s process are offered exclusively on paper. This choice is an integral part of their artistic expression; they retain the same commitments to limitation, numbering, and certification.
Numbering is always shared across all formats. Choosing a different format does not create a new edition and does not increase the total number of copies. For example, an edition comprising 5 prints of 40 × 60 cm and 15 prints of 80 × 100 cm remains limited to 20 copies in total, across all formats. This limitation defines the rarity of the edition; it does not guarantee resale value.
Open editions
Open editions are offered on paper, with or without a frame depending on available options. They allow you to bring a SchaPicShow photograph into your home without a predetermined number of copies.
These prints are not numbered and are not accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. You receive only the ordered product, in the chosen format and finish.
Certificate of authenticity for limited editions
The certificate signed by Schakya Sinhara is reserved exclusively for limited edition prints. It is always sent separately from the print. It attests to:
- The title of the work
- The creation date
- The copy number and the total number of copies in the edition, across all formats, e.g., 3/20
- The print format and medium
- The artist’s original signature
Each limited edition features two holograms: one intended for the artwork, the other appearing on its certificate of authenticity.
Although it is sent separately, this document is inseparable from the artwork: keep it with your print and pass it on with the piece in the event of a resale.
Understanding images and print rendering
The photograph displayed in full screen allows you to discover the artwork and its details from the file prepared by the artist. It does not show the additional adjustments made for printing.
For each work, the artist individually adjusts brightness, contrast, and saturation via WhiteWall, according to the needs of the photograph and the desired print result.
These adjustments are visible in the "mockups": these are the images that present the print in a room. To appreciate the intended rendering of the print, refer to these simulations rather than the full-screen photograph.
The room mockups are for illustrative purposes only: they do not guarantee an exact reproduction of colors or dimensions. The perceived rendering depends notably on your screen settings, the chosen medium, and the light in which the print is displayed. Print quality & media
The prints are produced in partnership with WhiteWall, a laboratory recognized for its fine art printing. The files intended for printing are prepared in high resolution, with particular attention to detail, color, and the chosen medium. Depending on the artwork and the type of edition, different media are offered, notably:
- ChromaLuxe Aluminum: a brilliant and contemporary look with intense colors.
- Alu-Dibond: a medium selected for the presentation of certain limited editions.
- Fuji Paper: a professional photographic paper offering rich tones and great fine detail.
- Other media: selected throughout the collections to highlight each image.
The printing process and conservation characteristics depend on the medium. The finishes available for each work are specified on its product page. Paper is an artistic choice in its own right, both for certain limited editions and for open editions.

Acquiring a SchaPicShow print means welcoming a part of the vision and inner poetry of Schakya Sinhara, a photographer born in Lausanne with Sri Lankan and French roots. Each photograph is the reflection of an artistic vision forged by travels, museums, and a passion passed down from childhood.
Frequently asked questions
Can I resell my print?
Yes. For a limited edition, the certificate of authenticity must accompany the artwork upon resale: it attests to its authenticity and numbering, without guaranteeing its resale price. Open editions are provided without a certificate.
How should I care for my print?
For paper prints, framing under anti-UV glass is recommended. Avoid direct sunlight. ChromaLuxe aluminum prints can be displayed without a frame; be sure to follow the care recommendations adapted to the medium.
